Based on 2020 statistics, over 60% of the US high-tech jobs are filled by immigrants, and there is a shortage of over a million job openings for qualified candidates. 5C is interested in adding more underserved students into the high-tech industry.
Donation Outcome
Your donation helps solve a national crisis that has persisted for many years in this country’s K12 educational system. The problem is a shortage of high-tech workers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The best way to lift underserved students from poverty is to start STEM training in early education and a curriculum pathway to graduation from high school. As the founder of 5C Academy, I believe this is the only way to help solve this national crisis and provide a chance to improve the lives of the underserved population.
What About Tuition?
5C Academy offers high-quality after-school STEM classes with small tuition to students’ fortunate population because of the lack of STEM classes in the K12 educational system. The tuition is the primary funding source to support the 5C Academy’s mission and goals. This approach allows 100% of the time to focus on teaching students instead of spending time on fundraising effort that takes away time and resource to accomplish 5C goals and objectives. Tuition is used to hire qualified instructors and purchase the necessary equipment to support underserved students.
